Swangz Avenue award winning star Azawi is set to perform in the Northern and Eastern districts of Kitgum, Gulu and Soroti.
Basing on a recent post by the “my year” singer, it is obvious that she will soon be resuming her field work with performances in the districts of Kitgum, Gulu and Soroti and obviously other districts that shall follow.
It has been over two years since Ugandans last had the thrill of having their local artists performing and appearing live before them in their home districts. This is all attributed to the covid-19 pandemic that saw the institution of a mandatory lockdown upon the music industry.
However, the latest address from the president seems to indicate that in a very short time, the industry shall be up and vibrant once more. Therefore, artists can go back to their usual operations in the country which include concerts in various parts of the country.
To kick this off, Azawi has chosen to start her concerts in Kitgum, Gulu and Soroti which she announced in a brief post showcasing her bucket list.
Since putting up the post, many people have cried out to Azawi to pay attention to their districts too including people from neighboring countries like South Sudan, Democratic Republic Congo and Kenya while others have vowed to cross borders just to be part of one of her concerts.
Last year, Azawi scooped a number of awards and was even ranked as the best artist of the year.
This follows the release of her African Music album that has made her famous not just in Uganda but even in neighboring countries like Kenya.
