KAMPALA – Musician Catherine Kusasira has cried out NUP principal Robert Sentamu Kyagulanyi aka Bobi wine and other artists in parliament to support her as she fans for East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) member of parliament.
In an interview with a local television channel, Catherine Kusasira said that despite many people people joking about her move, she is very serious and ready to take up the role when supported.
“Let me call upon my fellow musicians and most especially those in parliament to support me because I need your support. This is because this is going to be the first time musicians will be represented in the East African parliament. So, I need your support, and please do including Bobi Wine. Please” Kusasira said.
She explained that when voted as Uganda’s representative in the EALA parliament, she will become the first artist to represent Ugandans at such a high level and promised to improve regional development plus Uganda’s diplomatic ties with the neighboring countries.
Catherine Kusasira also scorned those who think she can’t make it because of her poor expression in the English language saying that what she knows is enough to help her communicate effectively as EALA MP.
As a senior presidential advisor, Catherine Kusasira is confident enough that president Museveni will support her for the post since she was part of the team that intentionally convinced people to vote him back in power.
