Since COVID-19 hit the world and pushed several sectors to shut down, the music industry in Uganda has been on a stand still. Artists haven’t been legally able to stage concerts and perform due to the presidential directives on COVID-19.
However some of the lucky artists have had a chance to perform outside of Uganda. In countries that have opened up. While others have been making a living through online concerts and private functions.
In his last address the president reveals that he will open all sectors in January 2022. But many of the artists claim 2022 is too far since it has been long since they last performed.
