KENYA – Yesterday, Machakos governor Alfred Mutua announced a mutual agreement between him and his wife Lillian to separate after being married for a long time.
Basing on the statement he released, despite the separation, the two shall still have am
amicable relationship and keep in close contact as friends who have ever shared something so
“Lillian and I have been a blessing to each other. Two months ago, we decided to slowly
disengage. We are in amicable terms and remain very close as friends. We will continue to talk, meet and share ideas constantly…,” read his statement in part.
Furthermore, he went ahead to praise Lillian for her tremendous works as the Machakos first
lady as well as informing the public that she will keep on running some of her projects under
the Lillian Nganga found as he said;
“Lillian has been an excellent First Lady and even though she will do some projects under the Lillian Nganga foundation, we have agreed she can continue with her county projects.” the statement added.
Aside from running her projects, the governor also informed that he will continue to work hand
in hand with Lillian as she has always been his number one fan in whatever he decides to
“She will be a close advisor as I Govern Machakos County and run for President because I trust her sharp insight and heart. She has always been my number one fan. Our love for each other is permanent but I think at times, space and new directions are important…” Alfred Mutua added.
Conclusively, the politician said that despite the fact that their story has come to an end, he is
happy because of the mature way through which they handed everything and they will surely
continue to protect and support each other.
